In 2013, Kathryn won the Telstra Business Woman’s Award in Community and Government and is passionate about strengthening and growing the capability and responsiveness of the employment, education and training sectors in ways that improve sustainability and equity outcomes.
 
Kathryn is a Director of the Apprentice Employment Network QLD & NT and also of the National Australian Apprenticeships Association. 

The National Apprentice Employment Network is the peak association representing around 150 Group Training Organisations located throughout Australia. Collectively the network employs around 30,000 apprentices and trainees and works with over 100,000 businesses. Through her involvement with the association and passion to see people achieve, Kathryn has developed strong relationships with organisations throughout Australia enabling GTNT Group to benefit from the economy of scale the network provides with direct links to the Northern Territory and Australian Governments.

In March 2017, Kathryn became a Director of the Australian Council for Private Education and Training (ACPET) Board representing the Northern Territory, assuming the role of Chairperson for the NT ACPET committee.
 
In addition to local and national Boards and Associations Kathryn is engaged with, she is also the Chairman and CEO of the Australian Skills Institute which works in close association with a range of educational institutions in the Philippines providing Australian qualifications through a skills enhancement model. Under Kathryn’s stewardship, the Australian Skills Institute is actively working with the Northern Territory Government to promote and grow vocational education and training in the Philippines and the ASEAN region.

Lisa

Lisa Dodds

GTNT Group Australian Apprenticeships Support Network Manager

(Senior Leadership Group)

Lisa joined GTNT Group in 2000 as the Front Office Manager and moved quickly into the role of Field Officer with the GTNT Group Australian Apprenticeships Support Network.  She managed a caseload of Apprentices and Trainees, advising on all matters of the Apprenticeships system. She consulted with various organisations and Government Departments to identify community need and supported both Apprentices and Employers in utilizing the system to upskill and grow their capacity.

In this time, Lisa also held the role of Recruitment & Marketing Manager with GTNT Group, where she established a platform to provide advice, support and strategic direction regarding business maintenance, growth, development and improvement, marketing and Indigenous employment & training across the company. Lisa’s focus, in which she was successful, was to increase Apprentice commencements in the Northern Territory.

Lisa’s Management and Leadership skills and strategic focus allowed her to move into the role of Assistant Manager for Client Services with GTNT Group Australian Apprenticeships Support Network. Quickly moving into the role of Operations Manager, managing team of up to 23 staff and ensuring compliance is meet as per AASS contractual requirements. Lisa is now the Manager of GTNT Group Australian Apprenticeships Support Network, managing the AASN contract requirements. She provides support, guidance and supervision to the staff in the Darwin, Katherine, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs offices.

Lisa holds her Certificate IV in Leadership and Management, Advanced Diploma of Management along with two trade qualifications.

 

Lynda

Lynda Townsend

Chief Financial Officer

Lynda is responsible for the overall financial management of GTNT Group. Lynda Townsend has 28 years experience in business services and taxation and commenced working with GTNT Group as a member of the Board of Directors and remained in that position for 5 years before taking the position of CFO.

Lynda’s 16 years experience with KPMG as a Senior Manager provided her with the necessary skills to ensure successful financial outcomes and best practice reporting. Lynda has a Bachelor Degree in Commerce, majoring in Accounting, and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. 

Poppy

Poppy Darkadakis

Human Resources Manager

(Senior Leadership Group)

Poppy Darkadakis has over 14 years in the VET industry with 11 years at GTNT Group. Poppy has worked with the Human Resources division of GTNT Group for 10 years and has extensive experience with industrial and employment relations, employee engagement and workforce development and is responsible for the overall management of Human Resources, Quality Management System and IT Support for GTNT Group.

As the Human Resources Manager, Poppy manages a team of two which is inclusive of Quality, IT and staff WHS. Poppy ensures that GTNT Group is compliant in accordance with the Work Health and Safety (National Uniform Legislation) Act, Fair Work Act and Workplace Gender Equality Act and other relevant legislation. 

Poppy holds the following qualifications

Shaun

Shaun Stenson

International Engagement and Training Manager   

(Senior Leadership Group)

Shaun's position of International Engagement and Training Manager is responsible for our Registered Training Organisation (GTNT Group Training, RTO Code: 0381) management, both onshore and offshore training and international engagement.

He has 35 years’ experience in the electrical industry covering three States and Territories. This includes Victoria, Queensland and Northern Territory with exposure working directly with Power and Water. All previous positions included a high level of safety management, with experience in managing 120 employees safety requirements. Shaun has a passion for safety and is driven to continuously improving practices to ensure a safe work environment for all GTNT Group employees.

Shannon deBeen

Shannon deBeen

Executive Assistant

Shannon was born and raised in the Northern Territory and she joined GTNT Group’s finance team in 2015 and has worked in varying roles within the team over this time. Shannon is now moving into the Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer role which is responsible for providing professional and confidential secretarial and administrative support. 

Alexander

Alexander Broers

Marketing Manager   

Alexander has over 8 years experience working across marketing, public relations and event management in both the corporate and not-for-profit sectors. Having worked in the UK, Dubai, the Sultanate of Oman, the Kingdom of Bahrain and Australia, he brings a combination of international experience, cultural awareness and marketing skills to GTNT Group Group.

His role as marketing manager is responsible for all marketing communications initiatives at GTNT Group, including the development and implementation of the organisation’s marketing strategy through digital and traditional communication channels, brand adherence, media opportunity management, sponsorship and events.

Alexander’s previous work experience includes projects for the Formula One Grand Prix, Toyota, Porsche, Red Bull, Food & Travel Magazine and Australia’s leading food waste prevention charity OzHarvest. 

Alexander holds a BA in Business Management and Marketing with Honours from the University of Brighton, UK. 

Sherryn

Sherryn Killmister

Gateway Manager   

Sherryn commenced her employment in September 2013, as the Employment Solutions Coordinator, and with a department restructure in 2018 is now our Gateway Manager. She is responsible for the efficient management and delivery of GTNT Group Apprentice recruitment services as well as internal and client driven workforce development strategies and implementation, in line with company policies and procedures.

Sherryn provides expert, professional advice and leadership to GTNT Group Staff in the development, implementation and review of the GTNT Group training and development directions to ensure that all workforce development strategies are part of a planned program and are designed to address the company’s current and future needs.

Sherryn’s background is primarily in the Childcare Industry and Employment Services. She holds her Certificate IV in Employment Services, Certificate IV in Leadership & Management along with her Diploma in Community Services (Children’s Services). 

Bree

Bree McLure

Field Services Manager

Bree McLure commenced GTNT Group and the Australian Apprenticeships Support Network (AASN) in October 2013 as the Quality and Marketing Officer, before moving into the Gateway Coordinator role under the AASN contract. In July 2019 she progressed into the role of Employment Services Coordinator where she was responsible for overseeing the GTNT Group Employment Services Administration and Employment Specialist teams. Bree currently holds the position of Field Services Manager.

Bree is responsible for the overall management and delivery of GTNT Group regional centers to ensure administration, field services and targets are delivered and achieved.  She does this with the aim to increase the number of Australian Apprentices and host businesses/employers through all GTNT Group services across the Northern Territory. 

Bree brings to the organisation over 14 years’ experience in the Training and Employment sector commencing as a trainee, Bree has experienced every facet of this sector and has a rare intimate knowledge of what it can be like the beginning to completion. 

Bree’s previously worked with Skill360, based in Cairns as their Quality Assurance Officer and Safety Officer, where she expanded her knowledge and skills in the Vocational Education and Training sector. Bree worked with Skill360 for four years and prior to that her roles were within Administration and service delivery. 

Bree holds her Certificate II and III in Business, Certificate IV in Frontline Management and Certificate IV in Leadership and Management. 

Emma

Emma Koerner

Human Resources, Safety and Environment Coordinator   

Emma commenced her employment with GTNT Group in April 2011 after deciding she needed to move into a role that allowed her to pursue her interest in mentoring, training and staff development. This interest developed whilst completing her own traineeship and experiencing firsthand the benefits of the GTO model. Emma has moved into the Corporate Services team as the Human Resources, Safety and Environment Coordinator, responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring the Workplace Health and Safety systems in line with company strategies.

Emma held the role of Employment Specialist from 2011 to 2017, responsible for managing a varied caseload of apprentices and trainees in the Darwin and Katherine region, including a number of major contracts and the specific requirements that come with them.

Emma’s background experience was primarily within the Aviation Industry. Emma started her Aviation career by completing a Certificate III in Business, as a Trainee managed by a Group Training Organisation. Emma progressed through her Traineeship at a very fast pace, which resulted in the opportunity to move into other challenging roles. Emma held a variety of roles in the Aviation industry, from junior customer service through to Senior Management over the 8 years.

Emma holds her Certificate IV in Employment Services, Diploma of Management, and Diploma in Human Resources.

Kate

Kate Roberts

Client Projects Officer   

Born and raised in Darwin, Kates’ background is primarily within the Vocational Education and Training sector having worked for GTNT Group Australian Apprenticeship Support Network for over six years. Kate joined the GTNT Group team in 2014 as has progressed through a number of roles within the Administration department including Client Support Officer and Client Projects Officer.

Kate is responsible for providing high level administrative support for projects at GTNT Group, which may also include the driving of initiatives to improve fundamental systems and processes within the company to help drive success.

Some of her duties include but not limited to ensure that contract obligations and service requirements of Host Employers and Apprentice documentation are met, facilitating reporting for all major contracts to meet with contract requirements, liaising with the Employment Services Coordinator continuously to ensure contracts/conditions are up to date and monitoring and oversee Client Support Officers internal team’s workflow.

Kate holds her Ochre Card and Certificate III in Business, and is currently working towards her Certificate IV in Leadership and Management.

Jess

Jess Molloy

Employment Specialist 

Jess commenced her employment with GTNT Group in September 2012. Jess is currently employed by GTNT Group as an Employment Specialists in the Southern Region and is the Employment Specialist based in Alice Springs and services the remote communities in the Southern Region.

Jess previously worked for Australian Apprenticeships NT for over 5 years as a Field Officer in Central Australia. Prior to working for Australian Apprenticeships NT Jess comes from an administration background within two different Registered Training Organisations. 

Jess’s accountable for ensuring the Group Training Company services are responsive, qualitative, and cost effective in meeting the demands of Northern Territory Industry and Australian Apprentices. Some of her duties include but not limited to:

  • Oversee the liaison with Registered Training Organisations in relation to formal training programs for Australian Apprentices.
  • Monitor and manage contractual obligations.
  • Manage Training Agreement/Contract responsibilities and ensure best practice.
  • Manage and Monitor progress of Australian Apprentices.
     
Kaitlin

Kaitlin Chin

Employment Specialist

Kaitlin commenced employment with GTNT Group in November 2016 in the Client Support Officer role, and since commencing with GTNT Group she has supported several Employment Specialists with Remote and Urban Caseloads. During 2017, Kaitlin moved into the Recruitment Officer role, where she was responsible for the efficient delivery of GTNT Group Apprentice Recruitment Services, and ensuring a smooth recruitment flow. During 2017, Kaitlin stepped into the Employment Specialist role to cover during a period of Long Service Leave, which lead to Kaitlin being offered the Employment Specialist position when one become available. Kaitlin was also a finalist in the Trainee of the Year category at the 2018 NT Training Awards.

In her current role, Kaitlin is accountable for ensuring the Group Training Company services are responsive, qualitative, and cost effective in meeting the demands of Northern Territory Industry and Australian Apprentices. Kaitlin manages a varied caseload of apprentices in the Darwin region, including a number of major contracts and the specific requirements that come with them.

Born and raised in Darwin, Kaitlin’s previous employment is primarily within Administration and customer service. Upon completing year 12, Kaitlin entered full time employment as a receptionist and later progressed to the role of Conference Coordinator. From her personal upbringing and voluntary work within the Chinese Community in Darwin, along with her previous employment at an Aboriginal art gallery, Kaitlin has had a lot of exposure working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. As well as working at GTNT Group, Kaitlin also works in hospitality and has since fourteen years old which is was when she first discovered her passion for customer service. 

Hannah

Hannah Mackie

Employment Specialist

Hannah commenced employment with GTNT Group in January 2019 as one of our Northern region Employment Specialist. Hannah manages a varied caseload of Apprentices and Trainees in Darwin, Nhulunbuy and Groote Island regions, including a number of major contracts.

Marnie

Marnie Hake

Gateway Officer

Marnie commenced with GTNT Group in the role of Gateway Administration Officer in September 2018, and was awarded the Gateway Officer position in January 2019. She is responsible for the efficient delivery of recruitment services in line with GTNT Group and Australian Apprenticeships Support Network contracts, and providing a high level of customer services, quality information and creating career pathways into apprenticeships/traineeships. 

She will also contribute to the long term sustainable growth and workforce development of GTNT Group.

Marnie is currently studying her Certificate III in Business Administration and holds qualifications in Certificate III in Fitness, Certificate IV in Fitness and her Ochre Card. 


Marnie completed her Year 12 studies at Kormilda Collage in 2016. Born and raised in Darwin, Marnie commenced her working career as a Revenue/Customer Service Officer with the Power and Water Corporation, where she was responsible for providing administration duties including customer service, revenue processing and data entry. During 2017 Marnie worked as a Personal Trainer at F45 and thoroughly enjoyed assisting people in transforming their lives for the better. Marnie has a passion for helping people, by helping others gain employment and offering guidance towards their chosen career pathways.

Tyla

Tyla Cloughessy

Tyla commenced with GTNTV in the role of Gateway Administration Officer in January 2019 and was awarded the Gateway Officer position in July 2019. She is responsible for the efficient delivery of recruitment services in line with GTNT Group and Australian Apprenticeships Support Network contracts, and providing a high level of customer services, quality information and creating career pathways into apprenticeships/traineeships.

Born in Western Australia, Tyla moved to Darwin in 2014 and completed her Year 12 studies at Good Shephard Lutheran College in 2016.  At the age of 12, Tyla began her career, working in retail and has since developed extensive experience in customer service.

After graduating High School, Tyla began working full time as receptionist for Perago Coatings where she performed general administration tasks and oversaw the daily operations of the company showroom. Whilst working, in 2017 Tyla commenced her University degree studying a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science, through Charles Darwin University.

Tyla enjoys working with others and helping people to improve their skills and reach life goals, and is currently studying her Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science and holds her Ochre Card.
