GTNT Group works closely with Host Businesses throughout the year to create opportunities for people seeking employment and training. In partnership with industry and stakeholders, we design and deliver industry-specific programs. These programs combine structured training, targeted mentoring, and engagement strategies to connect individuals with sustainable jobs and long-term career pathways.

Prelude to the Future 7 - Closed
Prelude to the Future 7, consists of 12 apprentices undertaking a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (UEE30820) and Certificate II in Split Airconditioning and Heat Pump Systems through the apprenticeship program. With a planned commencement of May 2026 the focus of this program will be to support one cohort of apprentices from commencement to completion. The Prelude to the Future Program is a collaborative partnership between GTNT Group, Shell Australia, Northern Territory Government – Department of Education and Training and Charles Darwin University.

Power and Water Corporation - Closed
GTNT Group has partnered with Power and Water to host apprentices for more than 30 years, and the partnership has been a huge success. In 2025 there were more than 400 applications for the Power and Water apprenticeship intake. The intake program opens annually in August.

Bridge Toyota - Closed
Across Bridge Toyota and Gove Toyota, the apprenticeship intake program recruits mechanic apprentices undertaking a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology. This long-standing partnership has supported numerous apprentices through structured training, strong mentorship, and real opportunities to build confidence and capability.

South32-GEMCO - Closed
Apprenticeship positions are based at the GEMCO manganese mine on Groote Eylandt, with opportunities available to local residents and FIFO apprentices from Darwin. Apprentices commence on a 4 days on, 3 days off roster, transitioning to 7 days on, 7 days off as required. Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, be self-motivated, and uphold values of honesty, fairness, and respect.
GTNT Group’s intake program with South32 GEMCO has produced outstanding outcomes, including Australian Apprentice of the Year 2025, Evangelene Rushforth, and NT Training Awards Runner-Up, Abbe Ayres.

Territory Generation - Closed
GTNT Group has proudly partnered with Territory Generation for many years to deliver valuable apprenticeship opportunities across the Northern Territory. Territory Generation offers a range of Early Career Programs designed to support Territorians who are entering the workforce or seeking new career pathways.
Qualifications commonly available through these programs include:
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician
- Certificate III in Engineering
- Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology
