Local Government Traineeship Pilot Program

Local Government Traineeship Pilot Program

The purpose is to place local people into the local government councils to complete a variety of qualifications through traineeships and apprenticeships. The pilot program will take the form of mentoring up to 25 Trainees and/or Apprentices who will undertake training in a supportive environment that will include well-rounded exposure to the processes required to run local government councils.

The Local Government Traineeship Pilot Program is a collaboration between GTNT Group, Local Government Association of the NT - LGANT, Industry Skills Advisory Council NT and the Northern Territory Government - Education and Training NT.
