Congratulations to Cody Hodgins who has completed his Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology with RK Diesel Services!
Cody began his apprenticeship in 2022 after shifting from an electrical pathway to follow his passion for mechanics. Growing up in Alice Springs with a family heavily involved in motorsport sparked his early interest and helped set the foundation for his career.
I’ve worked hard to get where I am. I always aim to complete my work to a high standard and make sure my supervisors are happy. The support I’ve received throughout my apprenticeship has made all the difference.”
Throughout his apprenticeship he has enjoyed the wide variety of jobs and the opportunity to travel for work, which has expanded his knowledge across all areas of the trade. He credits his supervisors as important mentors who have supported his technical and professional growth.
Cody’s achievements have been recognised through several awards. He was a finalist at the GTNT Group Awards in both 2023 and 2025 for Outstanding Apprentice Stage. He also received the Mechanical Apprentice of the Year Award at the 2025 Master Builders NT EBC Awards. These accomplishments reflect his dedication to continuous learning and his drive to excel. Not bad for a 22-year old!
