Earlier this month, three of our apprentices - Abbe Ayres, Evangelene Rushforth, and Jack Higgins - attended the National Apprentice Employment Network’s Today's Skills Tomorrow's Leaders (TSTL) program in Canberra.

This intensive five-day program provided career development and leadership training led by Bruce Sullivan, with support from Leonie Stanfield. The sessions focused on enhancing leadership and self-management skills, offering practical tools for personal growth and advancing future career opportunities.
GTNT Group CEO Kathryn Stenson, also serving as a Director on the NAEN Board, expressed her pride in Abbe, Evangeline, and Jack’s training journeys, emphasising how they inspire others across the Territory to pursue a trade.

"I feel deeply honoured and grateful to be recognised as one of Australia’s top 25 apprentices and to be among the 3 selected to represent the Northern Territory. This program exceeded all my expectations. The mentors were outstanding, and the skills I gained will benefit me both professionally and personally. I also had the pleasure of meeting incredible individuals from various fields across Australia, each one kind, strong, and genuinely inspiring.

I am truly grateful for this opportunity. It’s reaffirmed that I’m on the right path, and it reminds me that all my hard work and dedication are being noticed and appreciated. My heartfelt thanks go to NAEN and TSTL for this unforgettable experience. A special shout-out as well to GTNT Group and all my past and present colleagues at GEMCO - I wouldn’t be where I am today without your support.”
