Indigenous Apprenticeship Program

GTNT Group, in partnership with Santos Foundation and SLB, is offering the Indigenous Apprenticeship Program. 

Learn + Earn | 12 positions to commence a Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade MEM30219 whilst being paid.

About the position | Successful candidates will undergo trade school placement at Charles Darwin University Casuarina Campus in three week blocks followed by 4 week block with a host business within the Darwin region. Throughout the program you will have theory and on the job exposure, whilst being paid. You will gain your White Card and exposure to a range of different businesses in a range of industries.

Interested in hosting an apprentice?

GTNT Group, in partnership with Santos Foundation, is offering 12 engineering apprenticeships.

These are full-time positions offering you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a variety of workplaces in the Darwin region. You’ll be hosted to different local businesses, giving you the chance to build your skills, expand your experience!

BENEFITS AS A BUSINESS
Our Recruitment Team will guide applicants through a screening process to ensure your suitability for the program. This includes screening, aptitude tests and reference checks. Once successful, each apprentice will have an assigned Employment Specialist to provide continuous support and monthly checks which encourages successful progress.

INCENTIVES
As a Host Business you will be entitled to certain incentives.

You will receive all the benefits of our Employment Services including:

  • Management of your apprentice is included for first 12 months for monthly visits.
  • 50% reducation in management fees for 2nd year, 25% in 3rd and 4th year.
  • Wage subsidy of up to $100 per week for first 12 weeks during work placement.
  • Apprentices will have a tool kit and full PPE when they come to host for work placement.
  • Apprentices will commence work placements with White Cards.
